An alarm application, which starts together with a PC and does not run in the background, was to be developed for the job center. Through a key combination, the software should always be able to react, no matter what other application is in use. The application should provide a staggered overview of the floor and then the rest of the building via the alarm plan on file. The PCs that were reached by the alarm should send feedback, so that the alarming PC triggers further escalation step independently. On the PCs that received the alarm, information, which is placed over all applications and is terminated by clicking on a button from the respective user, was placed on the screen. When the application is started, the current room number of the PC is queried and set as the default. The alarm schedule is also processed by the application using the room number.

Technologies
The alarm application was developed with Delphi and communicates with other PCs via a broadcast distributed over the network. When the alarm is re-activated, the respective PC detects whether the message has already been received and processed and has rendered feedback according to the alarming PC. The floors and buildings have different network areas and can thus be addressed differently via the broadcast.
